Attorney Matthew Toll of Cape Coral, FL; ethical ogre

The state of Florida presented Matthew Scott Toll with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from Tulane University School of Law.

The Florida State Bar found Matty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Used unprofessional language while communicating with another lawyer
  • Made unfounded allegations against opposing counsel
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Threatened criminal and disciplinary investigations against opposing counsel
  • Uttered defamatory comments towards opposing party

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Matty by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $1,250.00.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Matty failed to disclose the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.matthewtoll.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal said relevant facts from prospective clients to prevent limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Matty practices his brand of law with Toll Law at 1217 Cape Coral Parkway in Cape Coral, Florida.
