Attorney Brian Kozlowski of Fern Park, FL; ethical elf

The state of Florida presented Brian Kozlowski with a law license in 2011 after he graduated from the Barry University School of Law.

The Florida State Bar found Brian guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Neglected two client matters
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Brian!)
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client’s interest upon termination
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to abide by clients’ decision concerning objectives of the representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Brian by gifting him with a complimentary 10-day suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $2,601.09
