Attorney John Carver of St. Petersburg, FL; ethical gnome

The state of Florida presented John Christopher Carver with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the Barry University School of Law.

The Florida State Bar found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Repeatedly failed to respond to notices from the appellate court
• Found in contempt for violating a prior Supreme Court order (Up yours, said Johnny!)
• Failed to submit filing fee or paperwork for a client’s appeal in a criminal case

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $2,601.09
