Attorney Hazen Calabrese of New Brunswick, CAN; cheating loser

The Law Society of New Brunswick presented Hazen F. Calabrese with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Brunswick School of Law.

The New Brunswick Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Hazen guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Loaned money to clients and/or caused his professional corporation to loan money to his clients
• Caused a transfer of common shares of a corporation controlled by his client to his own name in trust
• Failed to ensure clients had received continuing independent legal representation throughout the transactions and without first obtaining the clients’ consent in writing following adequate independent legal advice as to the advisability of the transactions and without making full disclosure and ensuring the transactions were in writing and were fair and reasonable to the clients in all respects
• Deposited the proceeds of loans from clients into his trust account and then appropriated such proceeds for his own purposes
• Appropriated trust funds of clients and used those funds to pay outstanding principal and interest on loans
• Appropriated trust funds of clients to pay legal fees charged by his professional corporation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Hazen by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license and assessed disciplinary costs of $12,500.00.

As we speak (ca. September 2020) Hazen practices with The Burke Law Group at 150 Cliffe Street in Kichikusus, New Brunswick, Canada.
