Attorney David Harris Jr. of Durham, NC; cheating loser

The state of North Carolina presented David Harris Jr. with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Davey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • By filing a lawsuit against Barber alleging his conduct was fraudulent, willful, wanton and that he acted with malice, Davey asserted claims that were not meritorious
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to
  • Failed to adequately research the allegations he made in the lawsuit against Barbel
  • Negotiated release without explaining to Council her right to acquire third-party council to explain the basis for her having to pay $17,500.00 from her portion of the settlement with Aqua
  • By representing Council in Barber's claim for attorney's fees and costs, and negotiating the Release to settle Barber's claim from Council's settlement funds, Davey engaged in a conflict of interest
  • By charging attorney's fees and expenses to Council for Davey's activity related to researching and negotiating Barber's claim for attorney's fees and costs when the research and negotiation were necessary solely as a result of Davey’s failure to act as he should have on behalf of Council and were for Davey's benefit, Davey charged and collected a clearly excessive fee (cheater)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Davey.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Davey practices with the Linck Harris Law Group PLLC at 2530 Meridian Parkway in Durham, North Carolina.
