Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA): Today’s “Nauseating Bigot” Award Winner

Clay succeeded in duping the voters in the Lafayette, Lake Charles and New Iberia areas into electing him as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2016.

FYI: Clay has a rather questionable past which includes the matters set forth below.

  • Divorced three times and married four times
  • After being elected to congress, Clay’s ex-wife Rosemary sued him for unpaid child support of more than $140,000
  • Compared a woman choosing to have an abortion to The Holocaust
  • Promoted himself and spoken at rallies by anti-government militia groups
  • Appeared at event organized by Oath Keepers, a group identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a radical anti-government organization
  • Has sold shirts at political rallies with logos identical to that of the Three Percenters, another anti-government militia group scattered across the country

In an overt effort to endear himself to Donald “Trumporleone” Trump and further establish his bona fides as one of America’s Premier Bigots, Clay made the following statements on his Facebook page regarding Black Lives Matters protesters.

  • “I wouldn’t even spill my beer. ... We are SWAT. Nothing personal.”
  • “We just eliminate the threat.”
  • “That’s not a challenge, fellas. It’s a promise.”
  • "We [fellow bigots White Nationalists] don't want to see your worthless ass nor do we want to make your Mothers cry."

After his Facebook posts were taken down, Clay followed upon his Facebook page by saying:

  • “America is being manipulated into a new era of government control.”
  • “Your liberty is threatened from within.”
  • “Welcome to the front lines, Ladies and Gentlemen. ... I’ll advise when it’s time gear up, mount up, and roll out.”

Unfortunately, given the racial makeup of his congressional district, Clay the Bigot will likely be reelected to another term in Congress on November 3, 2020.
