Today’s “Flip Flop” Award Winner is Sen. Orin Hatch (R-UT)

Congratulations to….

Sen. Orin Hatch of Utah
Today’s “Flip Flop” Award Winner

In an effort to compete with Mitt Romney’s outstanding Flip-Flop record, Sen. Hatch voted against the Violence Against Women Act on April 26, 2012. In other words, Orin was for the Act before he was against it!

In 1994, Orin the Flip-Flopper helped to create the Violence Against Women Act, and since then led two successful efforts to reauthorize the bill to combat domestic abuse.

Apparently, Orin is concerned about his upcoming primary for the Republican nomination from a Tea Party candidate. Orin is now seeking his seventh 6-year term in the Senate, meaning he’s had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough 42 years.

If Orin wins in November and isn’t removed from the Senate in a wooden robe, he’ll have spent 49 years digesting public pork. This is just another reason why we need term limits!

Congrats Orin; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most respected Flip-Floppers; you are far too humble.
