Solicitor Mak Shing of Hong Kong; ethical goblin

The Law Society of Hong Kong presented Mak Tung Shing with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law.

The Solicitor’s Disciplinary Counsel found Mak guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to keep his clients informed in relation to the incurring of costs in relation to a Winding Up Proceedings
  • Breached the applicable rules when he entered into a contingency fee arrangement with his clients for acting in contentious proceedings

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary censure, and a fine of HK$305,000.00 ($39,345.00 US).

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Mak practices Yung & Co. at 56 Gloucester Road in Wanchai, Hong, Kong.
