Attorney Albert Rudgayzer of New York City; ambulance chaser, convict
The state of New York provided Albert Rudgayzer with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Brooklyn Law School.
In August 2008, Albert pleaded guilty to fabricating a false instrument for filing in the second degree and was sentenced to one-year conditional discharge and order to pay $120,000 in restitution and fines.
Albert’s conviction was the result of him paying $500 for a medical narrative in a client matter when the payment was actually an inducement paid to the clinic to refer additional accident clients to him. (Ambulance Chasing 101)
In December 2010 the Disciplinary Committee for the 1st Judicial Department found Albert guilty of engagaging in the criminal conduct aforementioned.
In a lame attempt at levity, the comedians sitting on the Disciplinary Committee had the chutzpah to give Albert mitigation credit because since his conviction his annual ambulance chasing income decreased from $500,000 a year to about $130,000 a year.
As a consequence of his misconduct the sympathizers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Committee for the 1st Judicial Department punished Albert by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.
It must be comforting for New Yorkers to know that Albert is yet another upstanding convict running amuck in New York City with a law license.
As we speak (ca. April 2012) Albert practices law at 305 Broadway in New York City.
