Attorney Richard Kolosky of Bethlehem, PA; ethical ogre

The state of Pennsylvania provided Richard W. Kolosky with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.

FYI: Cooley is ranked as the worst or one of the worst law schools in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools. Proof of such a ranking is the fact that Donald Trump’s former attorney and fixer was none other than convicted felon Michael Cohen.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Dick guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to reasonably consult with client about means by which client objectives were to be accomplished
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to promptly comply with client information requests
  • Failed to explain a matter to extent necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests upon termination
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Dick!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2021), Dick practices at 7 East Church Street in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
