Attorney Mark Werner of Phoenix, AZ; cheating bully

The state of Arizona provided Mark A. Warner with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Mark guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Charged client unreasonable fees and amounts for expenses (cheater)
  • Engaged in unprofessional conduct towards his client and opposing counsel
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • When the client requested an accounting of fees, Mark told him to retain another attorney and sent the client a letter stating that he was no longer willing to represent him
  • Mark threatened to reveal confidential information about his client unless the client signed a consent for Marvin to withdraw his representation of the client
  • Mark fulfilled his threat by filing a motion to withdraw that contained privileged communications and information that disparaged his client to the court
  • After the client contacted the State Bar, Mark refused to provide the client a refund unless the client agreed to dismiss the bar investigation arising from his charge
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Mark!)
  • Failed to comply with discovery rules
  • Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive
  • Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct
  • Victim of misconduct was vulnerable

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Mark practices with The Law Office of Mark A. Warner at 4809 East Thistle Landing Drive in Phoenix, Arizona.
