Attorney Loretta Riddle of Sandusky, OH; slacker, loser

The state of Ohio provided Loretta Ann Riddle with a law license in 2002 after she graduated from the University of Toledo School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Loretta guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to make any contact with client she was appointed to represent on an appellate matter
• On same day client’s appellate brief was due, Loretta filed a motion to withdraw as his counsel
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to reasonably consult with his client regarding means by which his objectives were to be accomplished
• Failed to communicate with client regarding his objectives for his appeal
• Failed to timely respond to client communications
• Failed to promptly comply with client information requests
• Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme punished Loretta by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful manner to Loretta.
