Attorney Mark J. Olderding of Nevada, IA; repeat offender, loser

The state of Iowa provided Mark J. Olderding with a law license in 1986.

The Disciplinary Board of the Iowa Supreme Court found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

Marks 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree – 2002

This misconduct involved Mark’s incompetent representation of a client in a marriage dissolution case.

After the dissolution was resolved, the client (victim) advised Mark that he was moving to South Dakota and provided him with his new mailing address.

Shortly thereafter, the ex-wife filed papers for receipt of proceeds from the sale of the marital residence and her attorney served them on Mark. However, Mark the Moron never advised his client of a scheduled hearing on the matter. As a result, the client didn’t appear at the hearing and the ex-wife received nearly $25,000 as the equity in the home.

As a consequence of Marks misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Professional Ethics and Conduct of the Iowa Supreme court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

This matter involved yet another marital dissolution case. In this case the Disciplinary Board found Mark guilty of:

  2. Failure to adequately communicate with a client
  3. Lack of notice to client upon Mark’s withdrawal from the client’s case
  4. Failure to comply with Court orders regarding transfer of retirement benefits
As a consequence of Marks second bite at the Misfit Apple Tree, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Professional Ethics and Conduct of the Iowa Supreme court punished Mark by gifting him with yet another complimentary reprimand.
