Judge Howard Gerber of New City, NY; ethical troll

The state of New York presented Howard Gerber with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Pace University School of Law.

The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Howie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Made inappropriate comments to and about lawyers and others with whom he dealt in his official capacity
  • Failed to disqualify himself after he expressed negative views regarding the Department of Probation in connection with a probation violation matter pending before him

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Conduct Commission punished Howie by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Howie continues to sit as a Clarkstown Town Court Justice of the Peace in New City, New York.
