Solicitor John Casey of Cork, Ireland; ethical troll

The Law Society of Ireland presented John G. Casey with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Queen’s University School of Law.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to advise the complainant that the notice of appeal served on Johnny on behalf of his client had in fact not been filed and could not be filed
  • Despite receipt of a letter from requesting him to withdraw the appeal, Johnny still did not advise the named complainant that the appeal had not been successfully filed and failed to respond to his letter
  • Despite having received the notice of motion and support papers by registered post, Johnny made no attempt to advise the named complainant of his failure to have his notice of appeal filed.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Johnny practices at with Casey & Company Solicitors at North Main Street in Bandon, Cork, Ireland.
