Attorney Herbert Browder of Tuscaloosa, AL; ethical troll

The state of Alabama presented Herbert Ervin Browder with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Herbie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted, or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Failed to execute a fee contract with the clients showing they agreed to his hourly rate or they were reasonably informed of said
  • rate
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Herbie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Herbie practices at 2315 9th Street in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
