The state of Florida provided Scottie with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of Miami School of Law.

The Florida State Bar found Scottie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Repeatedly wasting judicial resources
• Made numerous dishonest statements
• Filed multiple lawsuits against insurers for separate losses under the same policy, even though the losses occur on the same property at the same time
• Sits as the head of a vast campaign of unprofessional, unethical, and fraudulent conduct
• Florida courts replete with orders sanctioning Scottie and his subordinates for the delay, misrepresentation, and bad faith that have become the hallmarks of his firm’s litigation practice
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engages in a ceaseless patter of delay
• Knowingly and repeatedly made false statement of material fact
• Ignores or violates court orders (Screw you, said Scottie)
• Engages in mendacious, bad-faith conduct
• The conduct by Scottie and his firm has resulted in clear and unquestionable harm to the public
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted, or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Failed to act fairly in dealings with opposing counsel or parties
• In pretrial procedure, repeatedly made a frivolous discovery request or intentionally failed to comply with a legally proper discovery request by an opposing party
• Knowingly and repeatedly violated obligation under the rules of a tribunal (Up yours, said Scottie!)
• Failed to expedite client litigation
• Repeatedly pursed frivolous claims that lacked any merit

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Florida Supreme Court ordered that Scottie’s law license be temporality suspended.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is ultimately visited upon Scottie by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. June) 2020, Scottie will resume his law practice at The Strems Law Firm PA at 2525 Ponce De Leon Blvd in Coral Gables, Florida as soon as the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court reinstate his law license.
