Attorney Willem Noorlander of Milwaukee; lying loser

The state of Wisconsin provided Willem James Noorlander with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from Marquette University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Willy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to respond to court order regarding dismissal of client’s case (Up yours, said Willy!)
• Due to Willy’s failure to respond to dismissal order, client’s case dismissed
• Failed to inform his client that his case had been dismissed
• Lied to his client that he had obtained a judgment against the defendant even though the case had been previously dismissed
• Failed to file the replevin action requested by his client
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to respond to client phone calluses and emails
• Lied to client he had filed replevin action when in fact he had not
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Willy by gifting him with a complimentary 2-month suspension of his law license.
