Attorney Mark Rasmussen of Jefferson, IA; moronic loser
The state of Iowa presented Mark J. Rasmussen with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Creighton University Law School.
In 2009, Mark, 52 at the time, was one of 13 men arrested in a prostitution sting in West Des Moines.
Mark met with a woman who had advertised an escort service online by showing up at her apartment and agreeing to pay her for unspecified sexual services. Mark was arrested and charged with an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison and a $6,000 fine.
Because no self-respecting law firm in the Des Moines area offered Mark a good paying job he worked on the side as a court-appointed attorney for Carroll County criminal suspects.
Subsequently Mark made a deal with the local DA on his criminal arrest. Rumor has it that he had to forfeit his frequent prostitute miles in order to avoid a prison sentence.
As we speak (ca. April 2012) Mark practices his brand of law at 105 East Lincolnway Street in Jefferson, Iowa.
