Attorney Victor J. Molina of Bronx, NY; ethical leper-con

The state of New York presented Victor Jose Molina with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from Fordham Law School.

In September 2011, Disciplinary Committee for the First Judicial Department found Victor guilty of the following misconduct after he was criminally convicted of official misconduct.

The official misconduct took place while Victor was employed by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance (DTF) from July 1988 to February 2007. While at the DTF, victor engaged in the unlawful practice of law. He also illegally accessed the confidential tax records of a company for use in a client’s civil lawsuit. As a result of his criminal conviction, Victor was sentenced to three years’ probation, a $1,000 find and an agreement to not ever seek work for the State of New York.

The referee for the Disciplinary Committee who presided over the disciplinary hearing recommended that Victor’s law license be suspended for three months.

When the case came before the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New York Court of Appeals, they punished Victor by gifting him with a censure.

As we speak (ca. April 2012) Victor practices law at 247 East 149th Street in Bronx, New York.
