Attorney Eric Inhaber of New York City; lying slacker

The state of North Carolina presented Eric R. Inhaber with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Eric guilty of the following misconduct.

• Deliberately misrepresented client’s traffic record to the court
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Made false statement of material fact or law to a tribunal
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Failed to promptly ay funds received from his clients to third parties as directed by his clients
• Prejudiced or damaged his clients during the representation
• Made false statement to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Eric!)
• Falsely stated to Judge Graham he had a clean driving record for the previous six years
• Was in possession of Schedule I and III substances in a public place,
• Committed criminal act adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Failed to appear at court hearing on client’s behalf
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to promptly comply with client information requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Eric by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the North Carolina Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Eric.
