Attorney Joel Jenkins Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; ethical troll

The state of North Carolina presented Joel Snyder Jenkins Jr. with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Joel guilty of the following misconduct.

• Represented both the buyer and seller in a real estate transaction
• Represented a client (Southland Associates) whose position was materially conflicted to the position of a former client
• Improperly gave legal advice to a person Joel knew or reasonably should have knows
• Engaged in a conflict of interest

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Joel by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
