Attorney Kenneth Johnson of Greensboro, NC; ethical gremlin, repeater

The state of North Carolina presented Kenneth Miles Johnson with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Kenny guilty of the following misconduct.

Kenny’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • As the closing attorney in real estate transaction, Kenny had a fiduciary duty to hold the deed in trust until the parties had complied with all terms and conditions of the purchase contract and the loan assumption had been closed
  • Kenny breached his fiduciary duty to the seller when he released the deed to the buyer

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Kenny’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Provided inaccurate information to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Kenny!)
  • Failed to advise client of time limit for re-filing dismissed lawsuit
  • Failed to appear at hearing involving client’s lawsuit that led to the court dismissing the lawsuit
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Attempted to conceal dismissal of client lawsuit from his client
  • Failed to return client file to client
  • Wrote several letters with misleading explanations for dismissal of client lawsuit to his client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. October 2020) Kenny practices at 70 East Market Street in Greensboro, North Carolina.
