Attorney Roy McDaniel of Coral Gables, FL; lying loser

The state of North Carolina presented Roy Thornton McDaniel with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Roy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• Submitted false evidence, false statements, or other deceptive practices during the disciplinary process (Screw you, said Roy!)
• Failed to deposit client funds into a trust account
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Lied to RR&C partners that he deposited client attorney fee into his trust account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Roy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the North Carolina Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Roy.
