Attorney Charles G. Blaize of Houma, LA; ethical goblin

The state of Louisiana provided Charles Gary Blaize with a law license in 1973.

In the recent past the Discipinary Commission found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct:
  1. Failing to represent client diligently (lazy)
  2. Failed to secure a written contingent fee agreement in violation of the Rules
  3. Attempted to settle legal malpractice claim with client/victim without advising the client in writing to seek independent counsel
Charlie had the chutzpah to actually negotiate a settlement with a client that was a victim of his malpractice. I’m sure the settlement was to Charlie’s unethical benefit!

As one could expect, this wasn’t the first time Charlie was disciplined for engaging in misconduct.

As a consequence of his most recent misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on Disciplinary Counsel punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2012) Charlie practices at 220 Progressive Blvd. in Houma, Louisiana.
