Attorney Justin Gaines of Highland City, FL; ethical troll

The state of Florida provided Justin Scott Gaines with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Florida State University School of Law.

The Florida State Bar found Justin guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Negligently engaged in conduct in violation of a duty he owed to the legal profession and caused injury or potential injury to a client, the public, or the legal system
• Negligently failed to comply with court order
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Justin by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and ordered to pay investigative costs of $5,336.58.
