Attorney Roman Leonov of New York City; accomplished pugilist, convict   The state of New York provided Roman Leonov with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from New York University Law School.
In the recent past, the Departmental Disciplinary Committee for the 1st Judicial Department charged Roman with the following misconduct that occurred on Halloween night.
Roman should have suspected that he'd have a problem getting a taxi on Halloween by dressing up as a lawyer.
Subsequently, Roman was criminally convicted of third degree assault and sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge and one day of an anger management program at the O.J. Simpson Anger Rehab Institute in Boca Raton, Florida.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Panel punished Roman by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
As we speak (ca. April 2012) Roman the Pugilist practices with the Vale Law Group at 22 Cortland Street in New York.
On the Vale Law Group website at www.valelawgroup.com it makes no mention of Roman’s pugilistic skills. However, it truthfully portrays the law firm as “being aggressive with our adversaries.” Apparently New York taxi drivers are considered “aggressive adversaries” by Roman.
