Attorney Edmar Amaya of Miami, FL; ethical ogre

The state of Florida presented Edmar Mauricio Amaya with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of New Hampshire School of Law.

The Florida State Bar found Eddie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a sexual relationship with a client
• Failed to communicate the substitution of counsel after recognizing he could no longer represent his client in a dissolution proceeding
• Engaged in conduct that exploited or adversely affected the interest of his client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Eddie by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Eddie practices with Edam Law PLLC at 175 SW 7^th Street in Miami, Florida.
