Attorney Diane Groom of Central Islip, NY; convicted criminal

The state of New York presented Diane Barbara Groom with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from Touro University School of Law.

FYI: Touro University is ranked as the 178^th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Diane guilty of the following misconduct.

• Convicted of tampering with public records in the 2^nd degree
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct giving rise to a conflict of interest

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the patrons for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards punished Diane by gifting her with a complimentary 3-year suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Diane practices with the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County, Inc. at 320 Carleton Avenue in Central Islip, New York.
