Attorney Douglas Del Tufo of Matawan, NJ; liar, serial offender

The state of New Jersey presented Douglas J. Del Tufo with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Yana guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Knowingly made a false statement of material fact in connection with ethics investigation (Screw you, said Doug!)
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation

As one would suspect, this was not Doug’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand, complimentary admonition, and complimentary suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Doug by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2020) Doug practices in Matawan, New Jersey.
