Attorney Frederick Jones Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; moronic crook

 

The state of New Mexico presented Frederick D. Jones Jr. with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law.

 

The New Mexico Disciplinary Board found Freddy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Wrote checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Charged excessive fees (crook)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to administration of justice
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to maintain a bookkeeping method to insurance adequate funds to cover checks he wrote
  • Failed to maintain required financial data of his trust and general office accounts
  • Converted client funds for his personal use (thief)
  • Engaged in conduct reflecting adversely on ability to practice law
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to ensure forwarding of record in criminal case on client’s behalf, which led to client appeal being dismissed

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Mexico Supreme Court punished Freddy by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Freddy practices with the Frederick Jones Jr. Law Office at 1020 Lomas Blvd NW in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
