Attorney Robert Schaller of Hinsdale, IL; thieving slacker

The state of Illinois presented Robert Vincent Schaller with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the John Marshall School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Bobby guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Filed a Chapter 13 bankruptcy petition on behalf of the wife of a client to forestall a sheriff's sale of the couple's home, without ensuring that he had the wife's permission to file the petition
• Filed two Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions on behalf of a client who was ineligible for relief as a matter of law

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Bobby practices with the Schaller Law Firm PC at 249 Meadowbrook Lane in Hinsdale, Illinois.
