Attorney Raylynna Peterson of Portland, OR; slacker, repeat offender

The State of Oregon presented Raylynna J. Peterson with a law license in 1996 after she graduated from Whittier College School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Raylynna guilty of the following misconduct.

Raylynna’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to her
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent necessary to permit her client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Despite her awareness of the proper procedures, Raylynna mishandled and failed to properly account for client funds on more than one occasion

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Raylynna by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 60-day suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Raylynna.

Raylynna’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Withdrew client funds from trust account before they were earned
  • Failed to properly track and account for client funds coming into and out of her possession
  • Failed to adequately account for client funds
  • Failed to regularly reconcile her trust account
  • Failed to protect client funds

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Raylynna by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.

As one would suspect, Raylynna and fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on her self-serving website at www.peterson-lawgroup.com. Apparently, she decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Raylynna practices with the Peterson Law Group at 2725 North Kerby Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
