Judge Michael McGuire of Monticello, NY; moronic slacker

The State of New York presented Michael Francis McGuire with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from Pace University School of Law

The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to uphold the integrity of the judiciary
  • Failed to maintain high standards of conduct
  • Improperly held several litigants in contempt and sentenced one or more of them to 30 days in jail by violating the due process rights of said litigants
  • Failed to avoid impropriety or the appearance of impropriety
  • Failed to perform judicial duties impartially
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to maintain professional competence in the law (moron)
  • Failed to be faithful to the law
  • Failed to be patient, dignified and courteous to a litigant
  • Failed to accord every person who has a legal interest in a proceeding, or that person’s lawyer, the right to be heard (due process)
  • Lent the prestige of judicial office to advance a private interest
  • Failed to conduct his extra-judicial activities as to minimize the risk of conflict with judicial obligations

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Commission ordered that Mikey be removed from his judicial position.

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law at 100 North Street in Monticello, New York.
