Judge Carole Hicks of Statesville, NC; perjurer, loser  

The state of North Carolina provided Carole A. Hicks with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from California Western University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Carole guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place before she duped the voters into electing her as a

• Knowingly made a false statement of material fact to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Carole!)
• Carole was hired to represent Janice Hess in defending an action for absolute divorce filed by her husband
• At the time of the representation, Janice was aware of a problem with the ability to enforce a separation agreement with her husband prepared by a prior attorney and informed Carole of the problem
• The signature of Janice and her husband on the separation agreement had not been acknowledged before a Notary Public as required by statute and was therefore null and void
• At the time the separation agreement had been signed, Janice understood it was more favorable to her than equitable distribution would likely be and wanted Carole to protect her interests in distribution of marital property in defending the divorce action
• Janice’s signature on the verified answer to her husband’s divorce action was not witnessed by Carole’s Notary Public and was therefore a false filing with Carole filed it with the trial court
• Attached to the verified answer was a document signed by Carole that recites that Janice had read the contents of the Answer and that they were true; however, Janice never read the Answer because it was never provided to her by Carole prior to its filing with the court
• Janice was not in Carole’s office at any time on January 18 when her signature was notarized by the Notary Public
• Janice did not read the Answer before it was filed in court
• Janice did not sign the Verification before the Notary Public who executed the jurat on January 18
• Subsequently, Janice fired Carole
• Carole falsely testified under oath in a court proceeding that she met with Janice in her office and that Janice had signed the verification to the Answer and Counterclaim after reviewing it
• Carole knowingly and falsely testified under oath that Janice had signed the Verification to the Answer in her presence in her office
• Carole testified under oath that she had instructed and allowed the Notary Public to notarize Janice’s signature on the Verification to the Answer and Counterclaim without Janice being present before the Notary Public to swear to or affirm the verification under oath
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on Carole’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer
• Knowingly made a false statement of material fact to a tribunal and offered evidence that the she knew to be false (Up yours, said Carole!)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Commission punished Carole by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

Because Attorney Misfits are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Carole was never criminally prosecutor for perjury.

And lastly, having ruled that Carole was unfit to practice law, how is that she is fit to be a judge. Different strokes for different folks! If I was a litigant in Statesville, I would move to have Carole removed from my case so it could be heard by someone that isn't a dishonest perjurer.

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Carole the Perjurer continues to sit as a District 22A Superior Court Judge in Statesville, North Carolina.
