Attorney M. Wayne Lewis of Chandler, AZ; serial offender

The state of Arizona presented M. Wayne Lewis with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from Arizona State University School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Wayne guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to advise client of his right to consult with another attorney prior to signing deed of marital residence giving Wayne a security interest in the home to secure his fees
  • Allowed his client to live in an apartment attached to his law office
  • Failed to adequately safeguard client files and information.
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Wayne’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonition and reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Wayne by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Wayne practices with M. Wayne Lewis Attorney at Law PC at 95 West Flint Street in Chandler, Arizona.
