Attorney John Quinn of Salt Lake City; idiotic slacker

The State of Utah provided John A. Quinn with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to terminate/decline representation when required to so act
  • Charged or collected an unreasonable fee (cheater)
  • Knowingly made false statement of a material fact to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Johnny!)
  • Failed to attend one or more court-scheduled hearings on client’s behalf
  • Failed to appear at show cause contempt hearing
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Johnny!)
  • Failed to appear at scheduled pretrial conference in divorce matter on client’s behalf
  • Due to failure to appear at the divorce pretrial conference, court ordered client’s pleadings stricken from the record and entered a default judgment against her
  • Failed to appear at court-ordered mediation hearing on client’s behalf
  • Court issued bench warrant because of Johnny’s failure to appear at mediation hearing
  • Trial court found Johnny in contempt for nonappearance at mediation hearing
  • Took several months to reply to client written communications

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year term of probation.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Utah Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Johnny.

As we speak, (ca. April 2020), Johnny practices at 60 East South Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah.
