Judge Michael Petucci of Herkimer, NY; belligerent drunk

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Doug guilty of the following misconduct.

• Traveled to several taverns within an hour or so and consumed eight or more alcoholic drinks
• Due to his drunkenness, Mikey lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the side of a former Kmart building
• The impact of the Kmart crash caused damage to the building and Mikey’s car
• The left front wheel of Mikey’s car flew ff and the airbags deployed
• At the time of the crash, Mikey was carrying a loaded Glock 9MM handgun and had another full magazine of ammunition in one of his pockets
• After emergency responder Joseph Durr and Herkimer police Sgt. John Scholl arrived at the scene of the crash, Mikey yelled obscenities and was otherwise belligerent
• At the scene of the crash, Mikey told Mr. Durr to arrest Sgt. Scholl
• Mike repeatedly refused to undergo field sobriety tests or a chemical test of his blood content, despite three separate warnings by Sgt. Scholl about the consequences of such refusals, including the suspension of his driver’s license
• In response to one of Sgt. Scholl’s requests to submit to a breath test, Mikey said, “No fuck you.”
• Pled guilty to driving under the influence (DUI)

As a direct consequence of his drunken misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the State Commission on Judicial Conduct punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. March 2020), Mikey continues to sit [only when sober] as a Herkimer Town Court Justice in Herkimer, New York.
