Attorney Christopher Hostage of Rockville, MD; bullying liar

The state of Maryland presented Christopher A. Hostage with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Georgetown University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Sent a letter to a third-party threatening criminal prosecution unless she contacted him to discuss terms of an agreement to settle his client’s alleged criminal and civil claims(s) against her
  • Claimed in his letter that he had “already met” with the local Sheriff’s department and an Assistant State’s Attorney and “they agreed to pursue charges against you”, which Chris knew were false statements of material fact

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As one would suspect, Chris fails to mention the above misconduct on his self-serving website at www.hostagelaw.com.   Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Chris practices with Christopher A. Hostage LLC at 30 Courthouse Square in Rockville, Maryland.
