Attorney Jawara Griffin of Baltimore, MD; ethical goblin

The state of Maryland presented Jawara Kibwe Griffin with a law license in 2017 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Jawara guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain fairness to opposing parties and counsel
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed reimburse an ex-girlfriend for student loan debt she paid on his behalf
• Failed to abide by a court order requiring repayment to ex-girlfriend (Screw you, said Jawara!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Jawara by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

As we speak (ca. March 2020), Jawara practices with the Office of the Public Defender at 201 St. Paul Place in Baltimore, Maryland.
