Attorney Alphonse Thompson Jr. of New Orleans, LA; slacker, loser

The state of Louisiana presented Alphonse M Thompson Jr. with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Tulane University School of Law.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Alphonse guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to expedite client litigation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Alphonse by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2020) Alphonse practices at 365 Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana.
