Attorney Frederick McBrien III of Norristown, PA; cheerleader for attorney felons
The state Pennsylvania presented Frederick W. McBrien III with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Villanova University School of Law.
In one matter, Freddy was a member of a Disciplinary Board that presided over an application by Attorney Abraham Hobson III to have his law license reinstated after he was found guilty of engaging in a fraudulent timeshare scheme. More information can be gleaned by visiting the URL at the end of this article.
After applying a thick coat of Industrial Strength Chapstick to his sorely chapped lips, Freddy gave the following laughable testimony in support of Hobson’s reinstatement application.
How ridiculous is it to testify that a convicted con man and felon “would be an asset to the profession”?
Even more ridiculous is Freddy’s testimony that Hobson’s reinstatement would “not be detrimental to the public interest.” I don’t know what part of the public Freddy is talking about, but it surely doesn’t include the victims of Hobson’s fraudulent scheme.
And lastly, it appears that Freddy is of the opinion that Hobson has a constitutional right to earn a dishonest living practicing law in Pennsylvania.
As we speak (ca. July 2020), Freddy practices with McBrien & Montalto PC at 325 Swede Street in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
