Attorney Eric Lerner of Philadelphia, PA; cheerleader for attorney felons
The state Pennsylvania presented Eric I. Lerner with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Tulsa School of Law.
In one matter, Eric was a member of a Disciplinary Board that presided over an application by Attorney Abraham Hobson III to have his law license reinstated after he was found guilty of engaging in a fraudulent timeshare scheme. More information can be gleaned by visiting the URL at the end of this article.
After applying a thick coat of Industrial Strength Chapstick to his sorely chapped lips, Eric gave the following laughable testimony in support of Hobson’s reinstatement application.
Why in the world would anyone with a conscience testify that Hobson had “the moral qualifications” to practice in the Commonwealth? A “morally fit” con man and convicted felon? How absurd is this testimony?
Even more laughable is Eric’s testimony that Hobson had a “great reputation in the community for being law-abiding, truthful and honest.” This absurd testimony despite Hobson’s felony convictions for running a fraudulent scheme to defraud investors and for lying to federal agencies in furtherance of said fraud.
And lastly, it appears that Eric is of the opinion that Hobson has a constitutional right to earn a dishonest living practicing law in Pennsylvania.
As we speak (ca. March 2020), Eric practices with Bezark Lerner & DeVirgilis PC at 1600 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
