Attorney Jerry Roberson of Haleyville, AL; ignoramus, slacker

The state of Alabama presented Jerry Dean Roberson with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Samford University School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association Jerry guilty of the following misconduct.

• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Engaged in any other conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness to practice law
• Failed to provide competent representation (ignoramus)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to respond to repeated client attempts to contact him
• Negligence led to lapse of time to file appeal on client’s behalf
• Despite being paid $5,000 upfront by client to represent her son, Jerry failed to communicate with either of them for one year
• Failed to act with candor when dealing with a tribunal

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Jerry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Jerry practices at 818 20^th Street in Haleyville, Alabama.
