Attorney Scott Adkins of Grayson, KY; convicted drunk, repeat offender

The state of California presented Scott L. Adkins with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from George Washington University School of Law.

The State Bar Court found Scotty guilty of the following misconduct. 

Scotty’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Pled guilty/convicted of one count of driving under the influence (DUI)
• Pled guilty/convicted of one count of reckless driving
• Pled guilty/convicted of being involved in a crash resulting in damage to another vehicle’ or other property

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Scotty by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Scotty’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engage in multiple acts of misconduct
• Failed to make restitution
• Failed to comply with multiple court orders
• Repeatedly failed to perform with competence (serial moron)
• Failed to advise client of significant developments in his case
• Attempted to engage in practice of law in jurisdiction where he wasn’t licensed to practice
• Failed to release client file to client after being terminated

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Scotty by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.
