► State Rep. Brian Kolb (R-NY): Today’s “Chivalry” Award Winner

Brian succeeded in duping the voters in the greater Rochester area into electing him as a member of the New York State Assembly.

In one matter, Brian was recently (ca. January 2020) arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) after he drove his SUV into a ditch near his home.

To prove his courage and chivalrous attributes, shortly after the crash he blamed the incident on his wife by telling the tow truck drive that his wife was to blame. The tow truck driver was telling Michal Scoville an Ontario county deputy: (Syracuse.com)

  • “My wife was driving.”
  • “You know how women drive.”

Kind of gives a new meaning to the term “chivalry,” right?

Subsequently, Chivalrous Mike was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He then confessed to having four or five cocktails.

When police arrived at the scene, Mikey admitted he had been behind the wheel and said he drank four or five cocktails. Police reported that Mikey’s eyes were glassy and bloodshot, and his breathalyzer test showed he’d consumed twice the legal limit for alcohol.

After his arrest, Mikey made the following statements to a reporter for the Buffalo News.

  • "Last night, I was charged with driving under the influence near my home."
  • "This was a terrible lapse in judgment, one I have urged others not to make, and I take full responsibility for it."

There is no dispute that Mikey was willing to throw his wife under the bus rather than face the music for his drunken escapade. What a Guy!
