Attorney Fred Barakat of Wilmington, DE; moronic slacker

The state of Delaware provided Fred Barakat with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Widener University School of Law.

FYI: Widener is ranked as the 168th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Delaware Supreme court found Freddy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain bona fide office in Delaware for the practice of a law
• Made false statements to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Freddie!)
• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to maintain his law firm’s books and records in compliance with Court Rules
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished Freddy by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2020) Freddy practices at 901 North Market Street in Wilmington, Delaware.
