Attorney Mark Besendorfer of Midvale, UT; moronic slacker

The State of Utah presented Mark A. Besendorfer with a law license in 2009 after she graduated from the University of Wyoming School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to do so
• Failed to expedite client litigation
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Negligence led to statute of limitations tolling on client legal claims

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
