Donald “Trumporleone” Trump: Today’s “Serial Ignoramus” Award Winner

This isn’t the first award presented to The Great Leader. In the past he has been the subject of 476 awards, 115 opinion pieces and 61 laments. For a list of the prior awards and/or articles, see the items detailed at the end of this article.

During a recent (ca. January 2020) ignorant rant while meeting with Chinese officials in the East Room of the White House, The Great Leader decided to further establish that he’s America’s Premier Ignoramus and Serial Liar. Towards that end, The Great Leader went about commenting on Mount Rushmore and bringing back summer fireworks. He falsely indicated that there had never been July 4^th fireworks at Mount Rushmore than said there hadn’t been any in 20 years.

The Great Leader then went on to make the following ignorant comments (Is there another kind?)

• "We're going to do a big fireworks display, right, Mount Rushmore... They haven't been there for like 20 years.”
• “I said, 'Why?' Environmental reasons.”
• “I said, 'You can't have fireworks for environmental reasons?... What can burn? It's stone.'"
• “So, I called up our people and within about 15 minutes we got it approved, and you’re going to have your first big fireworks display at Mount Rushmore, and I’ll try to get out there if I can.”

Isn’t it nice to know thatAmerica’s Stable Genius know that stone can’t burn? Goshes and Gollies that’s news to me, how about you?

In truth, there were major fireworks displays at Mount Rushmore, but they were halted after 2009 due to an infestation of pine beetles that killed thousands of surrounding trees, turning them into potentially explosive tinder. (Mary Papenfuss)

These ignorant statements by The Great Leader are further evidence that his I.Q. is just a tad higher than the legal speed limit in a school zone.
