Attorney Brian Kumiega of Buffalo; sleazy, ethical leper-con

The state of New York provided Brian with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from the University of Akron.

Brian’s firm sleazy firm, Pillar Processing, LLC accounted for nearly 40% of the 46,500 foreclosures brought in New York State courts (Huffington Post).

In mid-March 2012, Brian and his minions reached an agreement with the New York State Attorney General’s office requiring him to pay $4 million to the state in penalties, costs and fees.

New York Attorney General Schniederman said, “The Baum firm cut corners in order to maximize the number of its foreclosure filings and its profits.”
“The Baum Firm cut corners in order to maximize the number of its foreclosure filings and its profits,” said Attorney General Eric Schniederman.
The AG also found that attorneys at the Baum firm falsely verified that they had reviewed foreclosure notices when in fact they never so acted. This is normally referred to as perjury. However, because Attorney Misfits in New York are held to a lower standard of conduct then everyone else, no attorney who so acted has been criminally charged.

As we speak (ca. March 2012) Brian continues to practice law with Steven J. Baum at at 220 Northpointe Parkway in Amherst.
